أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى عَنْ يَعْلَى وَابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى عَنْ يَعْلَى

أَنَّهُ اسْتَأْجَرَ أَجِيرًا فَقَاتَلَ رَجُلًا فَعَضَّ يَدَهُ فَانْتُزِعَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ فَخَاصَمَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «يَدَعُهَا تَقْضَمُهَا كَقَضْمِ الْفَحْلِ؟»

✧ He hired a worker, and he fought a man; the man bit his hand, and his front tooth was pulled out. He brought the dispute to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: "Should he leave it for him to bite as the stallion bites?"
