أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَخْصَى عَبْدَهُ أَخْصَيْنَاهُ وَمَنْ جَدَعَ عَبْدَهُ جَدَعْنَاهُ» وَاللَّفْظُ لِابْنِ بَشَّارٍ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Muḥammad b. al-Muthanná And Muḥammad b. Bashhār
  2. Muʿādh b. Hishām from my father
  3. Qatādah
  4. al-Ḥasan
  5. Samurah

✧ That the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever castrates his slave, we will castrate him, and whoever mutilates his slave, we will mutilate him." The wording is that of Ibn Bashshar.
