أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ

أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ قَصْعَةً كَانَتْ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَأْكُلُونَ مِنْهَا كُلَّمَا شَبِعَ قَوْمٌ وَقَامُوا جَلَسَ مَكَانَهُمْ نَاسٌ آخَرُونَ» قَالَ كَذَلِكَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ الْأُولَى

Translation

  3. Abū al-ʿAlāʾ b. al-Shikhhīr
  4. Samurah b. Jundub

✧ A large bowl was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: 'The people kept eating from it; whenever a group had eaten their fill and got up, other people sat in their place.' He said: 'Thus it continued until the first prayer.'
