✧ Drinking with the right hand

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِيَمِينِهِ وَإِذَا شَرِبَ فَلْيَشْرَبْ بِيَمِينِهِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ وَيَشْرَبُ بِشِمَالِهِ» خَالَفَهُ مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you eats, let him eat with his right hand, and when he drinks, let him drink with his right hand, for the devil eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand." Malik b. Anas differed from him.
