أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ القَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَسْلَمَ قَالَ

قَدِمْنَا مَعَ عُمَرَ الْجَابِيَةَ فَأُتِيَ بِطِلَاءٍ مِثْلِ عَقِيدِ الرُّبِّ إِنَّمَا يُخَاضُ بِالْمَخَاوِضِ خَوْضًا فَقَالَ إِنَّ فِي هَذَا الشَّرَابِ مَا انْتَهَى إِلَيْهِ

Translation

✧ We arrived with Umar at al-Jabiyah. He was brought tila' (thickened grape juice) like the thickened residue of rob (fruit syrup), which is only stirred vigorously with stirrers. He said: "This drink has reached its final point (of preparation)."
