✧ The curse of the hypocrites in prayers

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فِي صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ مِنَ الرَّكْعَةِ الْآخِرَةِ قَالَ اللهُمَّ الْعَنْ فُلَانًا وَفُلَانًا دَعَا عَلَى نَاسٍ مِنَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ {لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الْأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ} [آل عمران 128] قَالَ لنا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ لَمْ يَرْوِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الثِّقَاتِ إِلَّا مَعْمَرٌ

Translation

✧ He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he raised his head in the Fajr prayer from the last rak'ah, say: 'O Allah, curse so-and-so and so-and-so,' supplicating against some people from the hypocrites. Then Allah revealed: {Not for you is the decision whether He should [turn in mercy] to them or punish them, for indeed, they are wrongdoers} [Al 'Imran 128]. Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said: No one narrated this hadith from the trustworthy except Ma'mar.
