أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَبِي الصِّدِّيقِ النَّاجِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ ابْنَ أَخِي قَدْ هَرَبَ بَطْنُهُ فَقَالَ «اسْقِ ابْنَ أَخِيكَ عَسَلًا» فَسَقَاهُ فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُ إِلَّا شِدَّةً فَرَجَعَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عِنْدَ الثَّالِثَةِ «اسْقِ ابْنَ أَخِيكَ عَسَلًا فَإِنَّ اللهَ صَدَقَ وَكَذَبَ بَطْنُ ابْنُ أَخِيكَ» فَسَقَاهُ فَعَافَاهُ اللهُ

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “My brother’s son’s stomach has become loose.” He said, “Give your brother’s son honey to drink.” So he gave him to drink, but it only increased him in severity. He returned to the Prophet ﷺ three times. The Prophet ﷺ said to him on the third time, “Give your brother’s son honey to drink, for Allah has spoken the truth and your brother’s son’s stomach has lied.” So he gave him to drink, and Allah cured him.
