أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ لَقِيطِ بْنِ صَبْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ لَقِيطٍ قَالَ

اتَّبَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَلَمْ نَجِدْهُ فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْنَا عَائِشَةُ بِعَصِيدَةٍ وَتَمْرٍ وَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَتَقَلَّعُ فَقَالَ «هَلْ طَعِمْتُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ؟» قُلْنَا نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ

✧ We followed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ but did not find him. Aishah sent us some asidah and dates. The Prophet ﷺ came walking briskly and said, 'Have you eaten anything?' We said, 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah.'
