أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الدَّعْوَةِ فَلْيُجِبْ فَإِنْ كَانَ صَائِمًا فَلْيُصَلِّ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُفْطِرًا فَلْيَطْعَمْ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “If any of you is invited to a meal, let him respond. If he is fasting, let him pray [for the host]; if he is not fasting, let him eat.”
