أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْوَزِيرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

«أَكَلْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَلِيمَةً لَيْسَ فِيهَا خُبْزٌ وَلَا لَحْمٌ» قِيلَ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ قَالَ تَمْرٌ وَسَوِيقٌ أَدْخَلَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ كَثِيرِ بَيْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ بَنِ بِلَالٍ وَبَيْنَ حُمَيْدٍ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَعِيدٍ

Translation

✧ I ate at a feast of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that had no bread and no meat. It was said, “What was it, O Abu Hamzah?” He said, “Dates and barley flour.” Saʿid b. Kathir inserted Yahya b. Saʿid between Sulayman b. Bilal and Humayd.
