أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْعُمْرَى وَالرُّقْبَى قُلْتُ وَمَا الرُّقْبَى؟ قَالَ يَقُولُ الرَّجُلُ لِلرَّجُلِ «هِيَ لَكَ حَيَاتَكَ فَإِنْ فَعَلْتُمْ فَهُوَ جَائِزٌ»

Translation

Chain of narrators

  4. ʿAbd al-Karīm
  5. ʿAṭāʾ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the ʿumrā and the ruqbā. I said: “What is the ruqbā?” He said: “A man says to another man: ‘It is yours for your lifetime; if you do that, it is permissible.’”
