أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حِبَّانُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنْ فِطْرٍ عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ صُبَيْحٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ انْطَلَقَ بِي أَبِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؛ لِيُشْهِدَهُ عَلَى عَطِيَّةٍ أَعْطَانِيهَا فَقَالَ «هَلْ لَكَ بَنُونَ سِوَاهُ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ «سَوِّ بَيْنَهُمْ»

✧ I heard al-Nu'man b. Bashir say while he was giving a sermon, "My father took me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to have him witness a gift he had given me. He said, 'Do you have sons other than him?' He said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Make them equal.'"
