✧ Raising the hands when rising from the bowing position

أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ الْعَنْبَرِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ وَائِلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ

صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَرَأَيْتُهُ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ وَإِذَا رَكَعَ وَإِذَا قَالَ «سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ» هَكَذَا فَأَشَارَ قَيْسٌ إِلَى نَحْوِ الْأُذُنَيْنِ

Translation

✧ I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and saw him raise his hands when he began the prayer, when he bowed, and when he said, “Allah hears the one who praises Him,” like this—and Qays gestured toward his ears.
