✧ Invalidating the will for the inheritor

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ غَنْمٍ ذَكَرَ أَنَّ ابْنَ خَارِجَةَ ذَكَرَ

أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ خَطَبَ النَّاسَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتَهُ وَإِنَّهَا لَتَقْصَعُ بِجَرَّتِهَا وَإِنَّ لُعَابَهَا لَيَسِيلُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ «إِنَّ اللهَ قَدْ قَسَّمَ لِكُلِّ إِنْسَانٍ نَصِيبَهُ مِنَ الْمِيرَاثِ فَلَا يَجُوزُ لِوَارِثٍ وَصِيَّةٌ»

✧ He witnessed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivering a sermon to the people while on his mount, and it was chewing its cud and its saliva was flowing. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in his sermon, “Allah has apportioned to every person his share of inheritance, so a bequest by an heir is not valid.”
