✧ Hatred in delaying one's will

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا حَقُّ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَهُ شَيْءٌ يُوصَى فِيهِ يَبِيتُ لَيْلَتَيْنِ إِلَّا وَوَصِيَّتُهُ مَكْتُوبَةُ عِنْدَهُ» 6411 أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمِ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حِبَّانُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَوْلَهُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "It is not right for any Muslim who has something to bequeath to spend two nights without having his will written with him." 6411 Muhammad b. Hatim b. Nu'aym al-Marwazi informed us, he said: Hibban informed us, he said: Abdullah informed us, from Ibn 'Awn, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, his statement.
