✧ The sale of patience from dates, the known weight of which is unknown.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ بَيْعِ الصُّبْرَةِ مِنَ التَّمْرِ لَا يُعْلَمُ مَكِيلَتُهَا بِالْكَيْلِ الْمُسَمَّى مِنَ التَّمْرِ

✧ That he heard Jabir b. 'Abd Allah saying: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the sale of a heap of dates whose measure is unknown for a specified measure of dates.
