أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ 6067 أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى وَالْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ وَأَبُو سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَبَايَعُوا الثَّمَرَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا وَلَا تَتَبَايَعُوا الثَّمَرَ بِالتَّمْرِ» قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ مِثْلِهِ سَوَاءً

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the sale of fruit until its goodness (ripeness) appears. 6067 Yunus b. 'Abd al-A'la and al-Harith b. Miskin informed me, with a recitation to him while I was listening, from Ibn Wahb, who said: Yunus informed me from Ibn Shihab, who said: Sa'id and Abu Salamah narrated to me that Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Do not make transactions on fruit until its goodness appears, and do not exchange fruit for dates." Ibn Shihab said: Salim b. 'Abd Allah narrated to me from his father that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited the like of it exactly.
