أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بَحِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ

إِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ اقْتَرَعُوا مَنَازِلَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ يُؤْوِي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَرَعَهُمْ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ فَأَوَى إِلَيْهِ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا «أُهْدِيَ إِلَيْهِ طَعَامٌ بَعَثَ بِهِ إِلَيْنَا» مُخْتَصَرٌ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بَحِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ثِقَةٌ

✧ The Ansar drew lots over their dwellings as to which of them would host the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the lot fell to Abu Ayyub, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stayed with him. Whenever food was gifted to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he would send it to us. Abridged. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Buhayr b. Sa'd is trustworthy.
