أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ بَقِيَّةَ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى أَنَّ عِيَاضَ بْنَ أَبِي زُهَيْرٍ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا سَهَا أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلَا يَدْرِي زَادَ أَوْ نَقَصَ فَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ» خَالَفَهُمْ عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “When one of you makes a mistake in his prayer and does not know whether he added or omitted, let him prostrate twice while sitting.” ‘Ikrimah b. ‘Ammār differed from them.
