✧ We used to greet the Prophet ﷺ and he would return the greeting to us, until we returned from the land of Abyssinia. I greeted him and he did not return the greeting to me, so I felt distress over what was near and far. I sat down, and when he finished the prayer, he said, “Indeed Allah brings about in His affair whatever He wills, and He has brought about in His affair that one should not speak during prayer.”
