أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ
آلَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ شَهْرًا فَقَعَدَ فِي مَشْرُبَةٍ لَهُ فَمَكَثَ تِسْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ لَيْلَةً ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَسْتَ آلَيْتَ عَلَى شَهْرٍ؟ قَالَ «الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ»
Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ swore to stay away from his wives for a month and sat in an upper room of his. He remained twenty-nine nights, then came down. It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, did you not swear to stay away for a month?" He said: "The month is twenty-nine days."
