أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمِ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَكِّيِّ بْنِ عِيسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ هُوَ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ كَعْبَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ حَدِيثَهُ حِينَ تَخَلَّفَ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ وَقَالَ فِيهِ إِذَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْتِينِي فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْمُرُكَ [261] 5586 وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ كَعْبَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يُحَدِّثُ حَدِيثَهُ حِينَ تَخَلَّفَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ وَسَاقَ قِصَّتَهُ قَالَ حَتَّى إِذَا مَضَى أَرْبَعُونَ وَقَالَ إِذَا بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْتِينِي فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْمُرُكَ أَنْ تَعْتَزِلَ امْرَأَتَكَ فَقُلْتُ أُطَلِّقُهَا أَمْ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ «لَا بَلِ اعْتَزِلْهَا فَلَا تَقْرَبْهَا» فَقُلْتُ لِامْرَأَتِي الْحَقِي بِأَهْلِكِ فَكُونِي عِنْدَهُمْ حَتَّى يَقْضِيَ اللهُ فِي هَذَا الْأَمْرِ

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the campaign of Tabuk. He said in it: When the messenger of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me, he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commands you [261]" 5586: Abu al-Rabi' Sulayman b. Dawud informed me, he said: Ibn Wahb informed us from Yunus, Ibn Shihab said: Abd al-Rahman b. Abd Allah b. Ka'b b. Malik informed me that Abd Allah b. Ka'b b. Malik said: I heard Ka'b b. Malik narrating his story when he stayed behind from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the campaign of Tabuk. He related his story and said: Until when forty days had passed, and he said: When the messenger of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me, he said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commands you to separate from your wife." I said, "Should I divorce her or what?" He said, "No, rather separate from her and do not approach her." So I said to my wife, "Go to your family and stay with them until Allah decides this matter."
