✧ The legal rights of divorced women, and the marriage that allows her to remarry

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى هُوَ الْقَطَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْقَاسِمُ هُوَ ابْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ ثَلَاثًا فَتَزَوَّجَتْ رَجُلًا فَطَلَّقَهَا قَبْلَ

أَنْ يَمَسَّهَا فَسُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَحِلُّ لِلْأَوَّلِ؟ فَقَالَ «لَا حَتَّى يَذُوقَ عُسَيْلَتَهَا كَمَا ذَاقَ الْأَوَّلُ»

✧...that he touches her. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked: Is she lawful for the first husband? He said, 'No, until he tastes her sweetness as the first tasted it.'
