✧ The Prohibition of Breastfeeding and the Mention of the Disagreement in the Narrations of Aisha

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ قَالَ

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ تُحَرِّمُ الرَّضْعَةُ الْوَاحِدَةُ؟ قَالَ «لَا» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ رَوَاهُ عُرْوَةُ عَنِ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ عَائِشَةَ

Translation

✧ "O Messenger of Allah, does one breastfeeding make marriage unlawful?" He said, "No." Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Urwah narrated it from Ibn al-Zubayr from the Prophet ﷺ and did not mention Aisha.
