أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «التَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ وَالتَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ» فِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ الْمُثَنَّى فِي الصَّلَاةِ لَفْظُ الْحَدِيثِ لِقُتَيْبَةَ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Tasbih is for men and clapping is for women.” In the hadith of Ibn al-Muthanna concerning prayer, the wording of the hadith is from Qutaybah.
