✧ If a man seeks advice from another man regarding a woman, should he inform him?

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمِ بْنِ الْبَرِيدِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنِّي تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَلَا نَظَرْتَ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّ فِي أَعْيُنِ الْأَنْصَارِ شَيْئًا» خَالَفَهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمِ بْنِ الْبَرِيدِ

Translation

  5. Abū Hurayrah

✧ A man from the Ansar came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: "I have married a woman." The Prophet ﷺ said: "Did you not look at her? For there is something in the eyes of the Ansar." Ali b. Hashim b. al-Barid differed from him.
