al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 533

✧ The prayer's look at the thing, he saw it in the qibla.

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نُخَامَةً فِي قِبْلَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي بَيْنَ يَدَيِ النَّاسِ فَحَتَّهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ حِينَ انْصَرَفَ «إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا كَانَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَإِنَّ اللهَ قِبَلُ وَجْهِهِ فَلَا يَتَنَخَّمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw phlegm in the qiblah of the mosque while he was praying before the people, so he scraped it off. Then when he finished, he said: “When one of you is in prayer, Allah is in front of his face, so let none of you spit phlegm in front of his face during prayer.”
