✧ Marriage of a woman to a man of the same age

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ خَطَبَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ فَاطِمَةَ فَقَالَ

رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّهَا صَغِيرَةٌ» فَخَطَبَهَا عَلِيٌّ فَزَوَّجَهَا مِنْهُ

Translation

  5. Khaṭab Abū Bakr And ʿUmar Fāṭimah

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "She is young." So Ali proposed to her and he married her to him.
