أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ خَمْرٌ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَهَؤُلَاءِ أَهْلُ الثَّبْتِ وَالْعَدَالَةِ مَشْهُورُونَ بِصِحَّةِ النَّقْلِ وَعَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ لَا يَقُومُ مَقَامَ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ وَلَوْ عَاضَدَهُ مِنْ أَشْكَالِهِ جَمَاعَةٌ وَبِاللهِ التَّوْفِيقُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Every intoxicant is forbidden, and every intoxicant is khamr." Abu Abd al-Rahman said: These are people of reliability and integrity, well-known for sound transmission, while Abdul-Malik does not stand in the place of any one of them, even if a group of his like supported him. Success is from Allah.
