أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ صَمْعَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي وَالِدَتِي عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا سُئِلَتْ عَنِ الْأَشْرِبَةِ فَقَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَنْهَى عَنْ كُلِّ مُسْكِرٍ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَاعْتَلُّوا بِحَدِيثِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to forbid every intoxicant. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: They relied on the hadith of Abdullah b. Shaddad from Abdullah b. Abbas.
