أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِهِ بِقَدَحَيْنِ مِنْ خَمْرٍ وَلَبَنٍ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِمَا فَأَخَذَ اللَّبَنَ فَقَالَ لَهُ جِبْرِيلُ «الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَاكَ لِلْفِطْرَةِ لَوْ أَخَذَتِ الْخَمْرَ غَوَتْ أُمَّتُكَ»

✧ On the night of the Isra, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought two cups: one of wine and one of milk. He looked at them and took the milk. Gabriel said to him: “Praise be to Allah who guided you to the fitrah. Had you taken the wine, your nation would have gone astray.”
