✧ The dispute regarding b. Abbas's difference in the number of eclipse prayers.

أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُلَيَّةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى عِنْدَ كُسُوفٍ ثَمَانِيَ رَكَعَاتٍ وَأَرْبَعَ سَجَدَاتٍ وَعَنْ عَطَاءٍ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ قَالَ لَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ جَيِّدٌ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed at the time of an eclipse eight units of prayer and four prostrations; and from 'Ata' similar to that. Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said to us: This is a good hadith.
