أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا وَأَبِي حَيَّانَ وَاسْمُهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ عَلَى مِنْبَرِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَإِنَّ الْخَمْرَ نَزَلَ تَحْرِيمُهَا وَهِيَ مِنْ خَمْسَةٍ الْعِنَبِ وَالتَّمْرِ وَالْعَسَلِ وَالْحِنْطَةِ وَالشَّعِيرِ»

✧ I heard Umar on the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Now then, indeed the prohibition of wine was revealed while it was from five things: grapes, dates, honey, wheat, and barley."
