أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مَطَرٍ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ أَنَّ عُمَرَ قَالَ

«مَنْ مَلَكَ ذَا رَحِمٍ مَحْرَمٍ فَهُوَ حُرٌّ» اللَّفْظُ لِعَمْرٍو 4888 أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ قَالَ عُمَرُ مِثْلَهُ سَوَاءً

Translation

✧ “Whoever owns an unmarriageable kin relative, he is free.” The wording is ‘Amr’s. 4888 ‘Amr b. ‘Ali reported to us from ‘Abd al-Rahman, he said: Abu ‘Awanah narrated to us from al-Hakam, he said: ‘Umar said the like of it exactly.
