✧ The virtue of emancipation

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَرْجَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُؤْمِنَةً أَعْتَقَ اللهُ بِكُلِّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهُ عُضْوًا مِنَ النَّارِ حَتَّى يُعْتِقَ فَرْجَهُ بِفَرْجِهِ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever frees a believing slave, Allah will free from the Fire a limb of his for every limb of the slave, until He frees his private part for his private part."
