✧ The prohibition of eating horse meat

أَخْبَرَنِي كَثِيرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْبِغَالِ وَالْحَمِيرِ وَكُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ»

  4. Ṣāliḥ b. Yaḥyá b. al-Miqdām b. Maʿdī Karib from his father from his grandfather
  5. Khālid b. al-Walīd

✧ That the Prophet ﷺ forbade eating the meat of horses, mules, donkeys, and every predator with fangs.
