أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مِحْصَنٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَصِينٌ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ

سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْمِعْرَاضِ فَقَالَ «إِذَا أَصَابَ بِحَدِّهِ فَكُلْ وَإِذَا أَصَابَ بِعَرْضِهِ فَلَا تَأْكُلْ»

Translation

"I asked the Messenger of Allah about hunting with the Mirad and the said: 'If the sharp edge hits (the game), then eat, but if the broad edge of it strikes it, do not eat it."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4307)
