✧ The vow in what cannot be possessed

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قِلَابَةَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حَصِينٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا نَذَرَ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللهِ وَلَا فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ ابْنُ آدَمَ»

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said, “There is no vow in disobedience to Allah, nor in what the son of Adam does not own.”
