✧ Prohibition of Vows

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ النَّذْرِ وَقَالَ «إِنَّهُ لَا يَرُدُّ شَيْئًا وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الشَّحِيحِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade vows and said: “Indeed it does not repel anything; it is only a means by which something is extracted from the stingy.”
