أَخْبَرَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزَّاهِرِيَّةِ عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى «ابْنَ آدَمَ لَا تَعْجِزْ عَنْ أَرْبَعِ رَكَعَاتٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِ النَّهَارِ أَكْفِكَ آخِرَهُ» 469 وَعَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ عَنِ الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ بِهِ

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Allah, Exalted is He, said: "O son of Adam, do not be unable to perform four rak'ahs at the beginning of the day; I will suffice you for the rest of it." 469 And from al-Rabī' b. Sulaymān b. Dāwūd, from 'Abd Allāh b. Yūsuf, from al-Haytham b. Ḥumayd, from Abū al-'Alā' b. al-Ḥārith, from Makḥūl, from Kathīr b. Murrah, with it.
