✧ The Dispute Between the Spouses.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْحَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَحَدَّثَتْنِي

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ «يُصْبِحُ جُنُبًا مِنْ غَيْرِ احْتِلَامٍ ثُمَّ يَصُومُ» وَحَدَّثَنَا مَعَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَنَّهَا حَدَّثَتْهُ أَنَّهَا قَرَّبَتْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ جَنْبًا مَشْوِيًّا فَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ خَالَفَهُ الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَعْوَرُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wake up in a state of major ritual impurity without having had a wet dream, then he would fast. And along with this hadith she narrated to us that she brought a roasted side of meat to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he ate from it, then he stood for prayer and did not perform ablution. Al-Hajjaj b. Muhammad al-A'war disagreed with him.
