أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ أَخْبَرَنَا حَبَّانُ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ وَقَتَادَةَ فِي رَجُلٍ قَالَ
لِرَجُلٍ أَسْتَكْرِي مِنْكَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ بِكَذَا وَكَذَا فَإِنْ سِرْتُ شَهْرًا أَوْ كَذَا وَكَذَا شَيْئًا سَمَّاهُ فَلَكَ زِيَادَةُ كَذَا وَكَذَا «فَلَمْ يَرَيَا بِهِ بَأْسًا» وَكَرِهَا أَنْ يَقُولَ أَسْتَكْرِي مِنْكَ بِكَذَا وَكَذَا فَإِنْ سِرْتُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ شَهْرٍ نَقَصْتُ مِنْ كِرَائِكَ كَذَا وَكَذَا
Translation

✧ To a man: 'I will hire from you transport to Makkah for such and such. If I travel for a month, or such and such a thing he specified, then you will have an increase of such and such.' They did not see any harm in that, but they disliked saying, 'I will hire from you for such and such, and if I travel more than a month, I will deduct such and such from your hire.'
