الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو خُزَيْمَةَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ طَرِيفٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ رَافِعَ بْنَ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ
«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْأَرْضِ» قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ فَسُئِلَ رَافِعٌ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ كَيْفَ كَانُوا يُكْرُونَ الْأَرْضَ قَالَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ مُسَمًّى وَيُشْتَرَطُ أَنَّ لَنَا مَا تُنْبِتُ مَاذِيَانَاتُ الْأَرْضِ وَأَقْبَالُ الْجَدَاوِلِ رَوَاهُ نَافِعٌ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ وَاخْتُلِفَ عَلَيْهِ فِيهِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited renting land. Ibn Shihab said: Rafi' was later asked, 'How did they used to rent land?' He said, 'For a specified amount of food, with the condition that we would have what grows on the elevated parts of the land and the heads of the water channels.' Nafi' narrated it from Rafi' b. Khadij, and there is disagreement about it from him.
