أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ جَوْنِ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْمُحَبَّقِ
أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ دَعَا بِمَاءٍ مِنْ عِنْدِ امْرَأَةٍ فَقَالَتْ مَا عِنْدِي إِلَّا فِي قِرْبَةٍ لِي مَيْتَةٍ فَقَالَ «أَلَيْسَ قَدْ دَبَغْتِهَا؟» قَالَتْ بَلَى قَالَ «فَإِنَّ دِبَاغَهَا ذَكَاتُهَا»

✧ The Prophet of Allah ﷺ, during the expedition of Tabuk, called for water from a woman. She said, "I have none except in a water skin of mine from an animal that died." He said, "Did you not tan it?" She said, "Yes." He said, "For its tanning is its slaughtering."
