✧ Who betrayed a warrior in his family?

أَخْبَرَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حَرَمِيُّ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ حُرْمَةُ نِسَاءِ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ عَلَى الْقَاعِدِينَ كَحُرْمَةِ أُمَّهَاتِهِمْ فَإِذَا خَلَّفَهُ فِي أَهْلِهِ فَخَانَهُ قِيلَ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ هَذَا خَانَكَ فِي أَهْلِكَ فَخُذْ مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ مَا شِئْتَ فَمَا ظَنُّكُمْ؟

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The sanctity of the wives of the mujahideen upon those who stay behind is like the sanctity of their mothers. If a man is left behind with his family and betrays him, it will be said to him on the Day of Resurrection: ‘This one betrayed you regarding your family, so take from his good deeds whatever you wish.’ So what do you think?”
