أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ صَعْصَعَةَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ لَقِيتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ قَالَ قُلْتُ حَدِّثْنِي قَالَ نَعَمْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ مُسْلِمٍ يُنْفِقُ مِنْ كُلِّ مَالٍ لَهُ زَوْجَيْنِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ إِلَّا اسْتَبَقَتْهُ حَجَبَةُ الْجَنَّةِ كُلُّهُمْ يَدْعُوهُ إِلَى مَا عِنْدَهُ» فَقُلْتُ وَكَيْفَ ذَاكَ؟ قَالَ «إِنْ كَانَتْ إِبِلًا فَبَعِيرَيْنِ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ بَقَرًا فَبَقَرَتَيْنِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “There is no Muslim servant who spends a pair of every kind of wealth he has in the path of Allah except that the gatekeepers of Paradise will vie with one another, each of them calling him to what is with him.” I said, “How is that?” He said, “If it is camels, then two camels; if it is cattle, then two cattle.”
