أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ فِي رَكْعَةٍ رَكْعَةٍ» وَقَفَهُ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  4. Saʿīd b. Jubayr
  5. Ibn ʿAbbās

✧ "That the Prophet ﷺ used to perform the Witr prayer with recitation of Subhan Allahi Rabbil 'Ala (Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the Highest) and Surah Al-Kafirun (The Disbelievers) and Surah Al-Ikhlas (Chapter of Tawheed) in every unit (rak'ah). Abu Nuaim reported this."
