أَخْبَرَنِي هِلَالُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ
قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِأَرْبَعٍ خَلَوْنَ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ فَلَمَّا طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَبِالصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اجْعَلُوهَا عُمْرَةً فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ لَبُّوا بِالْحَجِّ فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ قَدِمُوا فَطَافُوا بِالْبَيْتِ وَلَمْ يَطُوفُوا بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived when four days had passed of Dhū al-Ḥijjah. When he had circumambulated the House and between al-Ṣafā and al-Marwah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Make it an ʿUmrah." Then when it was the Day of Tarwiyah, they proclaimed the talbiyah for Ḥajj. Then when it was the Day of Sacrifice, they came and circumambulated the House, but they did not perform saʿy between al-Ṣafā and al-Marwah.
