✧ Throwing the shepherds

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي الْبَدَّاحِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «رَخَّصَ لِلرِّعَاءِ أَنْ يَرْمُوا يَوْمًا وَيَدَعُوا يَوْمًا»

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. al-Ḥasan b. Ḥurayth al-Marwazī And Muḥammad b. al-Muthanná
  2. Sufyān
  3. ʿAbdullāh b. Abū Bakr from his father
  4. Abū al-Baddāḥ b. ʿAdī from his father

✧ that the Prophet ﷺ “granted a concession to the shepherds to throw one day and omit one day.”
