✧ The obligation of standing at Arafah

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَهُوَ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْمُرَ الدِّيلِيِّ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الْحَجُّ عَرَفَاتٌ» ثَلَاثًا «فَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ عَرَفَةَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطْلُعَ الْفَجْرُ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ أَيَّامُ مِنًى ثَلَاثٌ فَمَنْ تَعَجَّلَ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ فَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ وَمَنْ تَأَخَّرَ فَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say three times: "The Hajj is Arafat. Whoever reaches Arafah before the dawn rises has reached it. The days of Mina are three, so whoever hastens in two days, there is no sin upon him, and whoever delays, there is no sin upon him."
